Transition Guidebook

RIPIN contracted with me to condense several guides, checklists, and informational resources into an organized guide to the transition process for disabled students entering adulthood. I began by writing and/or editing most of the content and then used principals of publication design to create a system of page styles, typesetting, color palettes, and content structuring that could be incorporated into the overall design and layout of the guide.

So as to be more easily referenced and absorbed by parents, it was of primary importance to deliver information in smaller manageable segments, using common language and verbal pacing. I also used uniformly formatted, repeated callout objects to highlight key points of interest and used a clean, colorful, and informal aesthetic to help put parents at ease.
