All of our web design contracts include:

• an individualized design to reflect the identity and goals of your business or organization
• design layouts for each level of site organization
• proof review before the site goes into construction, to streamline revisions and reduce costly corrections later in the process
• client-initiated content management through a WordPress site structure
• clean, uncluttered markup free of coding errors and using the most current formatting techniques
• mobile optimization and basic search engine optimization
• Level A compliance with WCAG standards of ADA web accessibility

At an additional charge, web contracts can also include:

• assistance writing and developing site content
• evaluation of site organization for the most effective delivery of information
• additional features such as forms and interactive elements, audio, video and animated elements, blogs, e-commerce, etc.
• Level AA or AAA compliance with WCAG standards of ADA web accessibility

$50/hour, 5 hour minimum

Flat-Rate Content Updates

I offer one-year update contracts that cover basic content updates for the contract term, based on the number of updates you anticipate making over the year. The total number of updates is added up and spread evenly over whatever payment schedule you choose — pay up front for the entire year, or pay at the start of each monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual period.

$12 per update

1 update = 1 request for up to 3 unique content changes

If you have updates left at the end of the contract term, they will be credited toward a contract renewal.

Updates on Retainer

Pay an hourly retainer for design updates or future projects so you can request further work when you need it without having to worry about payment.

$50 per hour, no minimum

If you have retainer hours left at the end of the contract term, they will be credited toward a contract renewal.

Basic WCAG Standards Audit

I will check the html source code and appearance of your website for adherence to accessibility standards. A report will be provided summarizing areas of strong ADA compliance and highlighting compliance violations/weaknesses.

Starting at $150

Recommended for smaller websites requiring only the minimum level of compliance.

Comprehensive WCAG Standards Audit

I will check the html source code and appearance of your website for adherence to accessibility standards. A report will be provided with the following:

• a summary of areas of strong ADA compliance
• a site map illustrating the level of compliance for each individual page within the site
• a comprehensive log of accessibility violations (cross-referenced against the compliance-keyed site map) with recommended corrections

This package also includes up to one hour of technical assistance and/or training regarding the results of the report.

Starting at $325

Recommended for larger, more complex websites, and for businesses/organizations that have contact with a diverse population of users and/or with the disability community in particular.

Basic Usability Testing

Meeting W3 guidelines doesn’t automatically mean that your site can be easily used by a person with a disability. Choose three common tasks your website is used for (booking an appointment, making a purchase, etc.) and I will have those tasks tested by multiple people with a disability:

• a person who is blind and using a screen-reader
• a person who has a partial vision impairment but is not using a screen reader
• a person who is deaf (typically only for sites with audiovisual components)
• a person who has a physical/mobility impairment
• a person with intellectual/developmental disability

I will provide a report of each person’s experience using your website, including their and my own recommendations for improving usability.

$300 for four-person team,
$350 for five-person team (includes a tester who is deaf)

Full Usability Testing

Have your entire website thoroughly tested for usability by a four- or five-member team of people who have a disability (see the composition of the testing group above). We will provide a comprehensive report of the team’s findings, including each person’s experience using your website, specific problems encountered, and both their and my recommendations for improving usability.

Starting at $425 for four-person team, $500 for five-person team (includes a tester who is deaf)

Inclusive Design Consulting

I will participate in the planning for adding ADA compliance as part of new website development or re-design of an existing website. Consulting only; no web design or development included.

$50 per hour, 2-hour minimum
