Accessibility Statement

This website is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, including disabled people and visitors who use assistive technologies.

Adjust As Needed is designed with accessibility in mind and is regularly reviewed to identify and address barriers.

Accessibility standards

This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards. I aim to follow these guidelines as a baseline for design, development, and content decisions.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Websites change, technology evolves, and even well-intentioned design decisions do not always work equally well for every person or device. I regularly review the site and work to identify and correct accessibility issues as they arise.

Ongoing accessibility practices

My accessibility practices include working to provide:

  • Clear, consistent navigation
  • Logical heading structures
  • Keyboard-accessible controls and links
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators
  • Sufficient color contrast
  • Meaningful alternative text for informative images
  • Captions or text alternatives for multimedia when applicable
  • Descriptive link text
  • Properly labeled form fields
  • Content that remains usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed
  • Plain, understandable language whenever possible

I also avoid unnecessary motion, inaccessible document formats, and interactions that depend exclusively on a mouse, color, sound, or visual positioning.

Third-party content

Some pages may contain content or functionality provided by third parties, such as embedded videos, social media posts, maps, forms, or external websites. While I may not be able to control the accessibility of those platforms, I will make a reasonable effort to provide an accessible alternative when a barrier is identified.

Need help or found a problem?

Despite ongoing efforts, you may encounter something that does not work for you. Accessibility experiences can vary depending on the browser, device, settings, and assistive technology being used.

To report an accessibility issue or request information in another format, please use the contact form on this website.

When possible, please include:

  • The page address or URL
  • A brief description of the problem
  • The browser, device, or assistive technology you were using
  • The format or accommodation that would work better for you

I will review accessibility feedback and take appropriate steps to provide access to the information or correct the issue.
